We all have gone through a hectic time since I wrote my first bulletin early February. First, we were worried about getting product out of Asia and then it turned into our own business while most countries went into lock down.
Many of our customers suffered from this and we all were worried about what the future would bring us. And then starting in April in some countries (like The Netherlands) where stores stayed open, the business not only recovered but even grew. Now that in most countries the stores are open again we see the same effect everywhere.
The demand in May was so high that, given the fact that we had scaled down our logistics operation, we even had delivery times to manage. I am glad that also that is behind us and we now are fully scaled up again and can serve customers at the high service levels we are used to!
Our showroom is open -taking all kind of health measures into account (customers can safely visit us without any risk) – and I have seen the first customers visiting us over the last two weeks. All were surprised that we have been able to develop a thrilling and renewing collection despite of the virus limitations. Every season we need new collections and I gladly invite everyone to come and see, I assure you it is worth a while.
However, if measures still prevent customers from travel we have digital inspiration of our showroom available as well as several product movies. On top of that we have develop a pre- book webshop. Next to our regular Webshop where customers can buy products that we have on stock online, we now also have developed a Webshop for pre-orders for the Spring Summer Garden 2021 collection. Efficient and fast.
The Christmas order book has been confirmed for timely delivery to our customers, so no need to worry about the timely delivery of goods. Many items have already arrived in our warehouse. Actually, only India is still suffering from limitations due to the virus, but we do not see any major issues on India items yet. I am confident we will all run a great Xmas show this year.
So all good for now and therefore this is my last Corona bulletin. We need to get back to the new normal. Let’s see each other soon, in our showroom or online. And in the meantime: stay safe!
